Return of the Fly

Last night was pretty quiet. I watched some of the movie Mary Shelley's Frankenstein which starred Kenneth Branagh as Frankenstein and Robert De Niro as the Creature. I remember watching it when it first came out in 1994. It's not a bad movie but kind of overblown. It's not as good as the Boris Karloff ones.

Today I went out to get my groceries for the week and in the afternoon I was watching the 1959 movie Return of the Fly. In the movie, the son of the scientist from the original movie decides to resume his father's experiments, despite the objections of his uncle (played by Vincent Price). Of course, before long there is another fly-monster on the loose. It wasn't really very good, but it does have it's moments (such as a part-human part-guinea-pig creature). It's reviewed over at Permanently Weird.
