Nearly Summer Holiday Time

I watched another few episodes of the original series of The Twilight Zone on DVD last night. The first story I saw ("What You Need") involved a low-life thug who encounters an elderly street salesman who has an uncanny ability to know exactly what people most need. The second one ("The Four of Us Are Dying") involved a small-time crook who has the ability to change his appearance to look like anyone he wants. The final story ("Third From the Sun") involves a group of people attempting to flee in a spaceship from an iminent outbreak of nuclear war. It features one of the show's most famous twists, which has now turned into an sf cliche.

Work was really dull as usual, and the sheet was being handed around for people to fill in for their summer holiday leave. I don't even know what I'll be doing for my holidays this year. I'd like to go away someplace, it's been three years since I last had a holiday away, and I also usually take a couple of weeks for the Edinburgh Festival in August. The good thing is I have plenty of holiday leave to use up.
