Another Day

I watched some more episodes of the old series of The Twilight Zone. The first episode ("I Shot an Arrow Into the Air") involved the first manned spacecraft which crashlands onto what appears to be a remote asteroid, The second episode ("The Hitch-Hiker") involved a woman taking a cross-country drive across the US where she keeps seeing a mysterious hitch-hiker who always seems to be ahead of her. The third episode ("The Fever") involved a tight-fisted guy on holiday in Las Vegas who becomes obsessed with a slot-machine that seems to be calling his name. The last episode I saw ("The Last Flight") involved a British fighter pilot in 1917 who suddenly finds himself in an American Air Force base in 1959. The "Hitch-Hiker" episode was actually genuinely creepy with a great twist ending.

Today has been fairly quiet. My friends Joe and Jackie have just come back to work after their holiday in Spain, so it was nice to see them again. We went out to the New Yorker bar for lunch.

On the way home I got the latest issue of Total Film magazine. The main feature this month is the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie.
