The Bourne Ultimatum

Last night I was watching The Bourne Ultimatum, directed by Paul Greengrass, on DVD. It's the third and latest film in the series based (very loosely, apparently) on the novels by Robert Ludlum. Taking off pretty much directly after the end of the previous film, this one finds ex-assassin Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) with his memory nearly returned, out for revenge on the shadowy agencies who used to "operate" him and are now after him. When he discovers that a British journalist (Paddy Considine) has some valuable information Bourne is determined to find him and his source, providing his enemies don't find them first. The film is complex and intelligent, for the most part. It also has some great action set-pieces. Personally I thought it was probably the best of the series, although it is probably a good idea to see the previous films first.

Today was a fairly quiet day at work. The place was almost empty, even for a Friday when a lot of people tend to take the day off. Now it's the weekend, anyway. It's the last in the current series of Peep Show tonight, but there will be a sixth season so that's good.
