The Hildebrand Rarity

I was reading some more of Quantum of Solace: The Complete James Bond Short Stories by Ian Fleming last night. The first story I read, "Risico", involved James Bond trying to crack a drug smuggling operation in Italy, "The Hildebrand Rarity" involved Bond joining an expedition in the Seychelles to find a rare fish and ending up having to investigate a murder, while "Octopussy" involved a retired soldier having to face up to the dark secrets of his past after a visit from Bond. At the time of writing a lot of the James Bond short stories, Ian Fleming was really getting sick of the formula of the books and was trying to experiment a bit, with mixed success, although most of the Bond short stories are pretty gripping suspense thrillers.

It was another fairly quiet day at work. It was pretty loud last night though because a group of kids, presumably, were hanging around in the building where I live talking and playing the radio, and singing along to it. They were there for about half an hour before they went on somewhere else. The thing about my building is that the sound really does carry.
