Back to the Beginning

Last night I was watching the very first episode of Doctor Who, which was first broadcast in November 1963 and starred William Hartnell as the Doctor. It was very atmospheric and the Doctor was much more of an antihero in the early days, at times coming across as genuinely sinister (although the character mellowed very quickly). Although in a way it's quite strange that many of the elements of the show really haven't changed. The Daleks first appeared in the second story, and haven't really changed at all.

The rest of the evening was spent watching repeats of comedy shows on TV, and writing in my paper journals.

It was a really cold day again today. It's not too bad for me in the evening, because I have my heating on quite high, but in the morning, when I'm getting ready for work it is kind of a nightmare, because it is so cold.

It was another pretty quiet and kind of depressing day at work. I got out at around five again, went straight home and had a microwaved lasagne meal.
