Tattoo

Last night I was watching the film Tattoo, directed by Robert Schwentke, which was part of the horror DVD set that I bought yesterday. It's a German film and opens when a large illegal rave is busted by the police. Among the partyers is newly graduated police officer Marc Schrader (played by August Diehl), who has to escape, and hide his drugs. However the next day he learns that his jacket (and drugs) have been found and identified. Brought before the formidable Detective Minks (Christian Redl), Scharder is given a choice: Either join Minks' homicide team, or his career will be over. It turns out that there is a particularly gruesome serial killer on the loose who is murdering people, particularly clubbers, with tattoos, which he then cuts off as a twisted "art collection". Minks wants Schrader because he has access to the world of underground clubs and raves. It's not really a horror movie, more of a psychological thriller. It's very stylish and well-made and frequently very gruesome.

Today was fairly quiet. I went to my parent's house for lunch, as usual. We had tacos, which was nice.
