Adventures of Prince Achmed

I went out today and saw a 1926 German animated movie called The Adventures of Prince Achmed, the oldest surviving feature length animation. It's animated in silhouettes as shadow puppetry. The film was silent but it was shown with live musical accompaniment from a three piece band.

On the way back I got some take-out Chinese food.
