Friday the 13th

Last night I was watching a few episodes of the fourth season of Peep Show on DVD with the audio commentary playing. Although there was no input from the stars of the show (David Mitchell and Robert Webb) the commentaries were mostly pretty interesting and often funny.

I went out to get my groceries this morning and then in the afternoon I went out and booked my holiday. I've got my flights and five nights booked in Amsterdam during my two week holiday next month.

After that I went up to the Cineworld cinema to see the re-make of Friday the 13th. The story revolves around a group of boozing dope-smoking teenagers who go on a holiday to a house owned by the prents of one of them, which is situated in a remote area near an abandoned campsite. Another teenager meets them there looking for his sister who vanished with her friends in the area six weeks previously. Could the disappearance have anything to do with the big masked man hanging around in the woods with the machete? The film manages to condense pretty much the first three Fridy the 13th movies into around an hour and a half. It's enjoyable enough for fans but nothing that fans of horror films won't have seen many times before.
