The Haunted Airman

I had a quiet evening last night. I watched a TV drama called The Haunted Airman, based on a novel called The Haunting of Toby Jugg by Dennis Wheatley. The story was set during the Second World War and concerns a bomber pilot who is shot down and seriously injured. He is sent to a remote mansion to recuperate under the supervision of a sinister doctor (Julian Sands), however he soon starts hearing strange noises in the middle of the night and becomes plagued by disturbing nightmares. It wasn't a bad film, it was just really slow-moving. Even with a running time of just a little over an hour it seemed to drag. It was very atmospheric in places though.

Today has been very quiet. I went over to my parent's house as usual for Sunday lunch (chicken in white wine sauce this week). The latest issue of Fortean Times had arrived during the week, so that was fun to read.
