Phobos

Last night I was listening to a Doctor Who radio play called "Phobos". In the story, the Doctor (played by Paul McGann) arrives on Phobos, one of the moons of Mars, in the future where the moon has now become popular for extreme sports enthusiasts (or "drennies" as they are known) due to it's bizarre natural phenomena. However there are rumours that the place is inhabited by a hidden race of vicious monsters, rumours that are given credence when the tourists start being gruesomely murdered. It was a pretty good one. Later on I went out to the Limelite bar because Rachel, from work, is leaving on a year's special leave. We were there until about eleven and then we went to a nightclub called The Citrus Club which played a lot of loud pop music fromt he 1980s. Everyone was up and dancing and it was fun. I got home at about half past three in the morning.

Today has been pretty quiet. I just went out to get some groceries for the week. For my lunch I got a pre-packaged chicken salad sandwich, a bottle of strawberry milk and a bowl of ice cold gazpacho soup. I also watched last night's episode of Peep Show, the first in the new series. It was really good. Peep Show is a British comedy TV series starring David Mitchell and Robert Webb as two losers who share a flat. The show's main conceit is that the whole thing is shot from the point of view of the characters in each scene and the two main characters narrate their own secret thoughts in voice over.
