Surveillance

Last night I was watching a 2008 movie called Surveillance, directed by Jennifer Lynch. The film is set in the rural US where there is a serial killer on the loose. However the killer's latest attack has left three witnesses and so a pair of FBI agents (played by Julia Ormond and Bill Pullman) arrive to interrogate the survivors. It's not a bad film but not really great either. It's kind of like a cross between Rashomon and Natural Born Killers, and is too unecessarily quirky for it's own good. Jennifer Lynch is the daughter of famous director David Lynch who acted as executive producer on this film and also wrote and performed the song in the end credits, and the film is very much in his style.

It was a very quiet and very dull day at work today, however I did manage to get my three weeks booked off for my holiday.
