Odd Jobs

Last weekend I went out and bought some books and DVDs in the sales. I got Last Exit to Brooklyn by Hubert Selby Jr. and A Kestrel for a Knave by Barry Hines (which was made into a very good film, Kes by Ken Loach). I got the DVDs of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (remake) and Three Colours White (I already have the other two films in the Three Colours series) and Three Films by the Director Jean-Luc Godard (it inludes Alphaville, Une Femme Est Une Femme and La Petit Soldat).

The last couple of days at work have been hellish. I've been working on the so-called "odd jobs" duties. Stuff like dealing with faxes, sorting the post, putting things away, typing things up, correcting people's work and finishing off stuff that people haven't completed. it's not really difficult in and of itself but there's a lot to do and it just keeps on coming all day. I left work and hour late last night and forty minutes late tonight. I don't like that job much anyway. I should get a new job. I would love to be a film critic or, better yet, to work in the film industry. I'm pretty exhausted right now!
