First Day Back
Today was my first day back at work after a two week holiday. It was as if I had never left. Everything was the same as ever. About half of the people in the office were away on holiday. At least it meant I was spared loud conversations going on behind me, lasting all day, on such important subjects as "number one hits from the eighties with numbers in their titles". The guy sitting next to me has an annoying habit of constantly muttering to himself and drumming his fingers on the table. All day. It's all these little annoyances. it just grinds you down.
After work I went out and bought a Jewel DVD to cheer myself up. I also went up to the cinema and saw The Village. Which I thought was pretty good. I have a special pass for one of the local multiplexes. For a monthly subscription I can go to the cinema as often as I like, without paying at the box office. It's great value. It pays for itself if you only go a couple of times a month.
