First Post

Well, I just created this Blog to put in various random thoughts (hence the title), things about my day-to-day life (which, I warn you, will probably not be particularly interesting!) and movie comments. just basically whatever comes into my head.

I'm off work for two weeks at the moment, I'm back on Monday. You'll find out more about it as things go on. I was watching the film Young Adam last night. Based on a novel by Alexander Trocchi, it's set in Scotland in the 1950s and stars Ewan McGregor as a barge worker who finds the body of a woman in the canal. It turns out later that he knew her. Meanwhile, he starts having an affair with the boss' wife. It's a very slow film, most of the mystery elements almost taking place in the background. It is worth watching, but the film is pretty bleak and depressing at times.
