Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer

Last night after work I went out to the Cineworld cinema with Joe and Alan to see Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, which I enjoyed. I thought it was a lot of fun. After the film we went out for a few drinks.

Today has been pretty quiet, and fairly dull. Same as usual really! The other day I finished reading Factotum by Charles Bukowski. Its set in America in the 1940s and tells the story of Henry Chinaski, who spends his time travelling from city to city, going from one low-paying job to another (he always either quits or gets fired after a few days or weeks), but is mostly interested in drinking and casual flings with women he picks up in bars. The only thing he really works at is writing.

It's a short book and a fairly quick read. It's sometimes funny, and sometimes quite brutal, but it's very well-written and interesting. The title means someone who has many different jobs.
