Conversations with Other Women

It was a very dull day at work today. In the afternoon we had the annual Business Change meeting, where basically they said what the management had planned for the next year, and said that it probably wouldn't happen, because the computer systems weren't ready. The meeting lasted for an hour, and I was pretty much ready to fall asleep.

I left work early though and went on to the Cineworld cinema to meet my mum. We had a cappuccino each and then went in to see the film Conversations with Other Women, directed by Hans Canosa. The film is set in new York City and is about a man (played by Aaron Eckhart) who meets an English woman (played by Helena Bonham Carter) at a wedding reception. They seem instantly attracted to each other and flirt and talk, but it seems as if they may have met before. It's a very good film, although it is more or less an hour and a half of two people talking. The entire film is in split screen format, with various brief flashbacks. It reminded me at times of the film Before Sunset, which was a better film in my opinion.

After the film I went back to my parent's house and had Swedish meatballs and pasta with melted cheese and pasta sauce.

I should be going to the cinema on Thursday with Michele, but I'm not sure what we'll be seeing.
