TV and Books

last night I was watching a few comedy episodes via the "TV On Demand" service on my TV package. I've only just discovered it and it's really good. I saw a couple of episodes of Spaced, which was created by the same people who went on to do Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz and concerns a man and woman who pretend to be a couple in order to get a flat. It is very funny. I also watched the first season of Peep Show, which is about two complete losers who share a flat, the main trick in the show is that it is filmed from the point of view of the characters and the thoughts of the main characters are conveyed by voice-overs. I've been watching the new series which is running at the moment, and it is very funny.

I went out at around lunch-time and bought some books in a three for two offer. I bought Alfred Hitchcock: A Life in Darkness and Light by Patrick McGilligan, Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee by Dee Brown and Caesar (a biography of Julius Caesar) by Adrian Goldsworthy. So I was quite happy with that.
