An After Work Drink

I went to my friend Maria's for a couple of hours last night. She lives in the apartment directly opposite mine. I haven't seen her for awhile, so it was quite nice. We just had a chat and a couple of cups of coffee and watched some of Good Will Hunting on TV.

It was a pretty quiet day at work, and fairly dull. A couple of coincidences meant that I ended up going to the pub, for a couple of hours. After work I, quite coincidentially, ran into Alan who invited me to the New Yorker bar for a quick pint. After that, just as we were about to leave, Joe turned up having just come in for a quick drink with no idea we were in there. Alan had to leave, but I stayed for a couple of pints with Joe, after all he's on holiday tomorrow for two weeks in Spain with his girlfriend. My friend Michele's on holiday at the moment as well, she's in Jamaica.

On the way home I got some fish and chips for dinner, which was quite nice.
