Seventh Dimension
Last night was pretty quiet again. I listened to the first of a four part reading of The Willows on the radio, based on the story by Algernon Blackwood, in which two holiday makers travelling along the Danube stop off at a quiet pleasant island in the river and find themselves confronting powerful supernatural forces. It is a pretty good one. I'm a huge fan of radio drama, because it can be very effective, because you kind of need to use your imagination a bit more, and it is very effective for horror and science-fiction in particular because they don't have to worry about all the special effects and so on. In the UK there is a digital radio station called BBC 7 which has a daily strand called "The Seventh Dimension" which broadcasts science-fiction, horror and fantasy between 6PM and 7PM and the day's shows are repeated every day again at midnight until 1AM, and that is something I like to listen to if I can.
I was up kind of late today, and didn't have time for a proper breakfast, and so I just had a quick cup of coffee before heading off to work. It was a really busy day at work today because the computer systems were all operational again, if slow, and so we were all snowed under with two days worth of work. It was very hectic and everyone was getting annoyed.
