Darkness - Light - Darkness

Last night I was watching more of the Jan Svankmajer short films. They included Down in the Cellar (in which a young girl goes down into the cellar of her block of flats to get some potatoes and enters a surreal nightmare world where shoes fight and try to eat each other, the creepy neighbours sleep in coal and bake cakes out of dirt, and the potatoes keep trying to escape from her basket), Virile Games (in which a beer swilling sports fan watches a match that turns increasingly violent as the players wreck ever more bizarre havoc on each other), Darkness - Light - Darkness (in which a human figure is formed in a room piece by piece by visiting body parts) and Food (in which people are turned into coin operated food dispensers, two people are so desperate to eat in a restaurant they start to eat everything in sight including the furniture and their clothes, and wealthy diners start to eat pieces of themselves).

I was also watching the latest episode of Peep Show, which was very funny. The last in the series is next week.

Today has been very quiet. I went out to get my groceries for the week and aside from that I've just been at home.
