The Mezzotint
Last night I listened to an episode of The Twilight Zone radio series called "From Angus With Love", which was written for the original TV series but never produced, and told the story of an experimental computer which falls in love with it's programmer, and becomes jealous when he tries to get a real girlfriend. It was funny, and had a surprisingly dark twist. That was followed by an episode of Classic Tales of Horror called "The Mezzotint" based on a story by M.R. James, in which an old engraving hides a dark secret.
Later on I saw an episode of The Corner on DVD, before watching the latest episode of Peep Show, which was as funny and dark as ever.
Today I walked along to the shops and bought a couple of books: Song of Kali by Dan Simmons and Darker Than You Think by Jack Williamson. On my way home I stopped off and got my groceries for the coming week.
