Recovering

Last night was really uneventful, and today has been pretty quiet as well. The only time I was out today was to get my groceries for the next week. Mostly I've been reading my book (I'm still reading The Corner by David Simon and Ed Burns, but I have nearly finished it now, and it has been really good). I'm also still trying to get over this cold!

At the moment I'm watching the film Metropolis, a 2001 animated Japanese movie that is very loosely based on the classic 1926 silent film of the same name. It's a good film, and beautifully animated. The screenplay was by Katsuhiro Otomo, who is most famous as the creator of the comic Akira, and the subsequent movie version.
