Dental Appointment

I am feeling a lot better today! The cold seems to have pretty much gone now. Last night I was watching The Wire. It was the second to last episode of the third season. The final episode of the season is on Monday.

I had to get out early today to go to the dentist. I have to get my wisdom teeth taken out. The problem is that they've come in crooked and are pressing against the teeth in front. Because of the angle that they are coming in, the wisdom teeth are impossible to keep clean and are becoming infected. They don't hurt at the moment, but it is only a matter of time, according to the dentist. I'm being referred to the Dental Institute and they are going to write to me to arrange an appointment, apparently it's too complex for the dentist to do himself and needs a dental surgeon. However it could be months before I get them out.

I got to the dentist in time, but I was kept waiting pretty much half an hour, presumably he was running late. I wasn't too bothered because I had a book with me - The Corner by David Simon and Ed Burns. However it did mean that I got into work late, which was annoying. I didn't really stay in work late though, because I figured it wasn't really my fault that I was delayed. My next scheduled dentist's appointment is on 10 February 2010.

It felt like a really long day so I was very glad when I got home. The movie Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me is on TV tonight so I might watch that. I've seen it loads of times before. It's very good, but very weird. Much weirder that the original Twin Peaks TV series.
