Relocation

Last night I was watching another episode of the second season of The Mighty Boosh on DVD. In the show, Vince and Howard attempt to raise up demons in a bid to impress a couple of Goth girls, and end up unleashing a demonic old lady armed with killer scarves and knitting needles and a lethal senior citizen's bus pass, and the duo must stop her armed only with Goth Juice hairspray, which has the most powerful hold known to humanity. ("Don't mess with the occult." "I thought it was good for you. Helped with your digestive system." "No, that's Yakult"). It was another funny and clever episode. It was kind of designed to look like one of the 1920s expressionst horror films.

It was another quiet day at work again. There was more talk about the possible office relocation. A bit of back story: They have been talking about a full-scale relocation of our work for at least nine years, and it tends to go through periods where they decide not to go ahead with any relocation at all, but it always turns up again, and makes everyone very unhappy. Keeping the staff informed of what is happening is not one of our company's strengths. Apparently, they have narrowed it down to four buildings in the city, and will be choosing one in the next few weeks and then letting people know where they are going to be going. They are still keeping the current office building though, they just need more space. I really hope I am just left where I am, because it's only about quarter of an hour from where I live. Actually on my way home I saw a guy being helped up by an ambulance driver. He was surrounded by about four friends each one of them clutching cans of beer, and they were saying how the guy had got really drunk and passed out. He seemed okay, but will no doubt have a really bad hangover tomorrow. I was thinking though how you can be that drunk at half past five on a weekday afternoon.

When I got home I had a microwaved meal of spaghetti carbonara and a glass of pinepapple juice.
