Cancelled Night

This morning I went out and got my week's groceries as usual.

This afternoon the plan was to go up to Joe's house with Alan and Joe's friends Mark and Ryan for a "guy's night", and drink beer, play on Joe's X-Box and probably watch some DVDs. I arranged to meet Joe and Alan at The Crags at around four o'clock. However Joe and Alan were both so tired and hungover from last night they could barely stand. Unusually for them, the only drink they could manage was orange juice. I had one pint of beer, because I was feeling absolutely fine. I think Alan especially had been partying almost all week with hardly any sleep. So the guy's night was cancelled and after just one drink we all went home. It was probably the only night out ever to have begun at four and ended before five in the afternoon. It was a bit disappointing, really, but it can't be helped.
